Job summary

Try&Hire in Switzerland seeks a senior leader to head a team of software architects shaping the cross-product architecture for laboratory instruments. You combine people leadership with deep architectural expertise to align product lines and early project phases with project and product management.

You will drive architecture decisions, set guardrails for maintainability, robustness, performance and cybersecurity, and ensure integration of devices with PC software and customer systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a comparable field.
• Several years of experience as a software or systems architect for complex products.
• Leadership experience with a team of similar size, ideally including disciplinary leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and managerial leadership for around seven software architects.
• Align architects across product lines and early project phases with project and product management.
• Facilitate architecture decisions and make decisions yourself when required.
• Ensure consistent standards, reviews and traceable architecture decisions.
• Further develop the cross-product target architecture and drive modularization and harmonization.
• Set technical guardrails considering maintainability, robustness, performance and cybersecurity.
• Ensure devices can be integrated into PC software and customer systems, harmonizing interfaces and protocols.
