Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO in Switzerland seeks a Team Lead Software Architecture to guide a seven-person architecture team and shape the lab balances architecture across product lines. You will drive modularization, harmonization, and integration with hardware and data systems.

You will influence early project concepts, develop viable solutions, and set guardrails for maintainability, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements (GxP, IEC 62443). English is essential; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a comparable field.
• Several years of experience as a software or systems architect for complex products.
• Leadership experience with a team of similar size, ideally including disciplinary leadership.
• Experience with modular, reusable architectures and platforms, as well as interfaces and the integration of devices into PC and data systems.
• Experience in software development on in-house developed hardware, as well as Linux on devices (Debian).
• Knowledge of C/C++ and C#.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical and managerial leadership for around seven software architects.
• Aligning architects across product lines and coordinating with project and product management.
• Facilitating architecture decisions and ensuring traceable architecture decisions within the team.
• Developing the cross-product target architecture and driving modularization and harmonization.
• Setting technical guardrails considering maintainability, robustness, performance, OIML, and cybersecurity.
