Nestlé S.A. is seeking an R&D Specialist in System Science based in Orbe, Switzerland.

The role focuses on building scientific foundations to explain, optimize and predict performance across product, machine and packaging systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams across the Nestlé Product Technology Center for Coffee globally. The successful candidate will design experiments, develop predictive models, and translate complex science into actionable guidance to drive system innovations at

Formación

• Strong knowledge of physical chemistry, applied physics and mechanical engineering.
• Ability to apply predictive modelling to explain system behaviour.
• Experience in transport phenomena, fluid systems, experimentation and packaging.
• Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Formulating hypotheses connecting product, machine and packaging design with beverage performance.
• Designing experiments to reveal flow, pressure, mass transfer, extraction and foam generation mechanisms.
• Building predictive, physics-based models to explain system behaviour and guide decisions.
• Identifying performance drivers, variability and gaps to improve system robustness.
• Creating reusable scientific knowledge to accelerate future research and development.
• Translating findings into clear recommendations for integration and performance improvement.
