Job summary

Jobbasel in Oftringen, Switzerland, seeks an experienced export and supply chain specialist to manage orders, pricing, and documentation for international customers. You will coordinate with plants, forwarders, and sales units to ensure smooth shipments and compliance with trade rules.

The role requires 3+ years in international trade, strong knowledge of export regulations, and excellent English. SAP MM/SD experience is a plus, with CRM data management and claims handling responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in international trade, export, or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of export processes, customs regulations, Incoterms, and international trade documentation.
• Very good English skills (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process stock, third party, and Chain orders for assigned customers.
• Create price-offer calculations and coordinate with Omya plants and selling units.
• Handle shipment/export processing, including documents and coordination with forwarders.
• Manage letters of credit (L/C) and documentary collections (CAD); coordinate with banks and suppliers.
• Arrange plant inspections for shipments and coordinate with consulates/Chamber of Commerce for document legalization.
• Coordinate claims with customers, create and control CRM data, and issue credit memos if needed.
• Send dunning letters and manage credit limits for assigned customers; perform GR/IR checks.
• Provide administrational support for the sales manager and selling units.

Responsibilities

• Processing of stock-, third party- and Chain orders for the assigned customers
• Creation of price-offer calculations
• Coordination with Omya plants and selling units in the assigned countries
• Shipment / Export processing; incl. creation of documents and coordination with the forwarders
• Processing of letter of credits / cash against documents businesses.
• Arrange inspections in the plants for shipments
• Arrange customer-bonus credits for year-end closing
• Legalization of documents at the consulate / e-origin with Chamber of Commerce
• Coordination of claims with customers and selling units. Create and control the data in CRM. Creation of credit memos to claims if necessary.
• Send out dunning letters to customers and coordinate the credit limits of assigned customers.
• GR/IR checks and support for the assigned countries
• Administrational support for the sales manager or selling units for the assigned customers

Requirements

• Commercial apprenticeship, business administration degree, or equivalent qualification
• Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Foreign Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable qualification
• 3+ years of professional experience in international trade, Export or Supply Chain operations
• Strong knowledge of export processes, customs regulations, Incoterms, and international trade documentation
• Experience handling Letters of Credit (L/C), Documentary Collections (CAD), and global transportation activities
• Solid SAP knowledge, ideally in MM and SD modules
• Customer-oriented and solution-driven personality with a strong commitment to deliver high-quality support
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills in an international environment
• Strong analytical and process-oriented thinking
• High level of responsibility, reliability and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
