Job summary

Try&Hire seeks a Technical Product Owner to own and prioritize the software backlog for laboratory instrument systems, translating goals into actionable backlog items and acceptance criteria.

You will align product management, architecture, development, UX and testing, balancing immediate needs with long-term platform sustainability, while guiding technical decisions and ensuring regulatory and cybersecurity considerations are integrated.

Qualifications

• Higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or comparable discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software-intensive industrial instruments
• Understanding of embedded software and software-hardware integration
• Experience as Technical Product Owner, Software Architect, Technical Lead or similar role
• Experience with agile and formal stage-gate development processes
• Fluent in English, written and spoken; German is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the software product backlog based on customer value and technical feasibility
• Translate product goals into development priorities, backlog items and acceptance criteria
• Align product management, requirements engineering, architecture, development, UX and testing
• Balance short-term product needs with long-term platform sustainability and scalability
• Guide architecture-informed product decisions and prioritize technical debt
• Maintain technical consistency across software teams in Switzerland and China
• Integrate quality, regulatory and cybersecurity requirements into product decisions
