Zusammenfassung

AutoForm in Zürich is seeking a (Senior) Software Engineer – ML-based Mechanical Simulation to advance ML-assisted FE simulations. You will extend synthetic data pipelines, optimize ML models for accuracy and inference cost, and integrate ML inference into a production-grade solver.

You will work with experts across BIW, simulation tech, and software engineering in an agile SCRUM setting, applying Python and C/C++, and contributing to robust, maintainable codebases.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or doctorate in computer science, engineering, computational mechanics, applied mathematics, physics, or a related natural science.
• Extensive experience applying machine learning methods to mechanical or physical simulation problems.
• Solid understanding of numerical methods for engineering applications.
• Practical experience with computational geometry, including efficient geometric and topological algorithms.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++.
• Confidence to work with large code bases and to develop robust, maintainable software components.
• Team player with a strong commitment to problem solving and collaboration.
• Fluent English required; German is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Extend and automate synthetic training and validation datasets.
• Optimize ML-models with respect to accuracy, robustness, generalization capability, and inference cost.
• Integrate ML inference into FE solver towards production-ready industrial software solution.
• Work closely with experts in BiW, simulation technology, software engineering and machine learning in an agile SCRUM-based setup.
