Job summary

Bühler Group seeks a Mechanical Development Engineer – Simulation to lead structural simulation efforts for die-casting machines. You will work with design engineers and R&D teams to apply FEM, CFD, and system simulation, guiding decisions with solid analyses.

You will validate results, ensure compliance with standards, and contribute to developing simulation methods while documenting findings for transparency and reproducibility. English fluency is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years in mechanical engineering with 3+ years in simulation technologies.
• Strong knowledge of structural mechanics and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with ANSYS Workbench; familiarity with CAD tools.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural simulation activities across early development phases.
• Collaborate with design engineers and multidisciplinary teams to develop and evaluate concepts.
• Validate simulation results and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Support customer-specific solutions, root-cause analyses and regulatory compliance.
• Develop simulation methods, tools, and internal standards with clear documentation.
