Zusammenfassung

Roche is seeking a highly motivated Senior or Principal Scientist to join the crystallization and solid state development teams in Basel, Switzerland. The role focuses on designing, scaling, and optimizing crystallization and isolation processes, bridging chemistry, formulation, and production to deliver robust drug substances.

The candidate will drive digitalization, work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, and author filing documents for regulatory authorities.

Qualifikationen

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or related field with pharma experience (0–5 years) or an MSc with 7–15+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven expertise in end-to-end crystallization, filtration, drying, and purification for small molecules.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration, project management, and agile decision-making.

Aufgaben

• Design, optimize, and scale crystallization, precipitation, and isolation processes under non-GMP and cGMP conditions.
• Define commercial manufacturing design spaces and operating ranges for robust drug substance quality.
• Lead internal/external collaborations across chemistry, formulation, and production to solve CMC challenges.
• Author and review regulatory filing documentation and technical reports.
