DECTRIS, a growing high-tech company in Switzerland, invites applications for a Senior Scientific Solution Engineer. You will own time-to-value for prospective customers, from first technical discovery through trials to onboarding, ensuring value is shown quickly.

You will lead deep technical discovery on customer science and workflows, design trials, run proofs-of-value, and host workshops to convert evaluators into confident users. Travel to laboratories worldwide up to 50% is required.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in business development, sales/solutions engineering, or a comparable customer-facing technical role.
• Strong domain expertise in materials science and/or structural biology.
• Strong, fast coding ability: you build tooling, scripts, and demos quickly and cleanly.
• A deep drive to understand customers' science and problems better than they expect you to.
• Communication that works with everyone, from bench scientists to executives.
• Comfort using AI tools in your work.
• Excellent English, and willingness to travel internationally up to ~50%

Aufgaben

• Own time-to-value for prospective customers: from first technical discovery through trials to onboarding, make sure scientists see real value as fast as possible
• Lead technical discovery: get deep on each customer's science, instruments, and workflows so our solution maps to what they actually need
• Design and run trials and proof-of-value engagements on customers' own data and problems
• Run workshops and hands-on sessions that turn evaluators into confident, successful users
• Travel to customer sites and laboratories to do this work where the science happens
• Feed field insight back into product and science, sharpening both what we build and how we position it
• Use AI and coding to build the demos, scripts, and tooling that shorten every trial
