Job summary

GARDP Foundation in Geneva is seeking an Associate Director SBI Portfolio to lead the strategy and delivery of a portfolio of antimicrobial development and access projects across R&D and public health.

You will manage cross‑functional teams, align with DAS strategies, oversee regulatory, clinical and access activities, and partner with external stakeholders to advance global health objectives. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years' senior experience in drug development (antimicrobials preferred).
• Ph.D. in life sciences or MD with specialization in infectious diseases.
• Experience leading R&D programmes and cross-sector partnerships.
• Significant budget and resource accountability.

Responsibilities

• Develop SBI portfolio strategy and ensure alignment with DAS strategy.
• Lead cross-functional programme leadership and governance.
• Oversee regulatory, development and access activities from plans to delivery.
• Manage budget, resources and external partnerships.
• Represent GARDP at high-level events and advocate externally.
