Job summary

GARDP Foundation seeks an Associate Director to lead the SBI Portfolio, coordinating drug development and access activities across R&D. You will shape disease-area strategies, align with Medical SBI and Global Access, and drive multi-disciplinary project governance to deliver impact in antimicrobial development and access.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years senior experience in drug development (antimicrobials preferred) in pharmaceutical sector, biotech or non-for-profit global health.
• PhD in life sciences or MD with specialization and extensive research in infectious diseases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate a transversal SBI Disease Area strategy and portfolio across R&D and Access.
• Lead cross-functional evaluation of new interventions and assets for the SBI portfolio.
• Provide SBI portfolio leadership to policy, external relations and communications.
• Line manage project leaders and ensure alignment with Global Access and Medical teams.
• Ensure regulatory adherence, development, and access models are integrated across projects.
