Zusammenfassung

PREEN Technologies in Zurich, Switzerland, is seeking a Robotics & Controls Engineer to own the industrial automation core of the washbay, including the 7-axis robot system and PLC programming. You will work across the full automation stack, from calibration to safety and integration with software teams.

You will define motion profiles, optimise cycle times, ensure safe operation, and support commissioning both remotely and on-site, contributing to CE certification and robust machine safety

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years professional experience in industrial automation, including robots and PLCs.
• Hands-on with major robot vendors (ABB, FANUC, KUKA, etc.).
• IEC 61131-3 PLC programming and industrial communication (OPC UA, fieldbuses).
• Machine safety knowledge: safety PLCs, interlocks, safe speed and zone monitoring, e-stop.
• Willingness to work directly on the machine and in commissioning.
• Fluent English.

Aufgaben

• Set up and configure 7-axis robot system: calibration, TCP, payload, joint limits.
• Define and maintain safe operating envelope for software team: limits, speed, acceleration, regions.
• Optimise robot motion for a confined washbay around vehicles.
• Own PLC programming for washbay sequencing and interlocks.
• Contribute to the machine’s safety concept and its CE certification.
• Support the commissioning team remotely and on site.
• Collaborate with software team on robot/PLC interface: state machines, handshakes, fault recovery.
