As a Senior Relationship Manager covering External Asset Managers (EAMs) and Multi-Family Offices (MFOs), you’ll be at the front line of our Private Banking growth in Switzerland—building trusted partnerships, connecting clients to the breadth of HSBC’s platform, and turning opportunities into sustainable returns. It’s a role for someone who enjoys combining market presence, commercial drive and disciplined risk management in a high-performance, collaborative environment.


What you will do:

Reporting to the Head MFO/Switzerland, the Senior Relationship Manager is responsible for managing, acquiring and growing profitable long-term relationships with EAM and MFO clients in Switzerland (Geneva preferred, or Zürich). You’ll bring a holistic understanding of intermediaries’ and end-clients’ needs and deliver innovative, high-value solutions across HSBC’s product platform to generate sustainable growth for the wider Group. You’ll also provide leadership to support high net worth client performance against plan.


In this role you will:



  • Grow revenues and assets by increasing Assets Under Management (AUM) and generating inflows of net new money (NNM) across your portfolio

  • Drive performance against targets for revenue generation, product alignment, customer sataisfaction and cost containment

  • Originate new opportunities through referrals from existing clients and your wider network across EAM/MFO segments

  • Deliver full-service banking solutions, including credit extension and the marketing of HSBC capabilities across products and services

  • Increase share of wallet by partnering with product specialists to ensure solutions meet client and sector requirements

  • Manage risk and controls by combining relationship management with strong risk assessment, ensuring credit quality, compliance with internal/external regulations, and timely closure of audit/regulatory points


What you should apply if you have:


  • Deep understanding of relationship management experience in the banking sector banking with EAM/MFO segment clients, with significant experience in originating and serving region-based entities and experience working within the relevant market

  • Proven track record developing business, assets growth and revenue generation

  • Excellent commercial and negotiation skills

  • Highly developed communication skills for use in direct client contact and problem solving.

  • Ability to provide strong financial and statistical analysis

  • Strong knowledge of the Swiss banking and regulatory environment

  • Demonstrable experience in client relationship management and sales/business development initiatives

  • Collaborative team player who constructively challenges, shares ideas and is comfortable giving and receiving feedback

  • Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to build business cases and present recommendations to senior stakeholders

  • Proven ability to build and leverage strong internal networks across the Group to deliver outcomes for clients

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strong customer service focus

  • Attention to detail and the ability to think creatively to solve problems

  • Willingness to work in a target driven and high-performance environment

  • Excellent understanding of financial markets and products

  • Fluent in English and French, good command of German would be an asset
