Job summary

LocalBini AG is seeking a Co-Tech Lead & Senior Backend Engineer to drive backend development with Python and infrastructure as code on AWS. The role supports hybrid/remote work and demands extensive experience building REST APIs and scalable microservices.

You will collaborate with a part-time remote team and the St. Gallen business team, implement Terraform-based infrastructure, and contribute to testing, documentation, and data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Python development with REST APIs.
• Extensive AWS knowledge: Lambda, S3, SES, SQS, DynamoDB, OpenSearch.
• Terraform in AWS for infrastructure as code.
• Asyncio and aiohttp experience in Python.
• Event-driven microservices architecture experience.
• Frontend basics with React/TypeScript (Redux Toolkit).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with System-Architect to ensure high-quality architecture and scalable development.
• Coordinate with part-time remote team and St. Gallen business team to refine the solution.
• Build robust back-end applications using Python for performance and reliability.
• Develop infrastructure with Terraform across AWS PaaS/SaaS/FaaS/IaaS.
• Conduct thorough testing and ensure security and data confidentiality.
• Apply mobile-responsive design principles for cross-device experiences.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation.
• Work with data scientists to improve LocalBini through innovation.
