Camptocamp is seeking a Senior Backend & Cloud Engineer to design and develop high-performance backend services and drive modern Cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will work with IaC (Terraform/OpenTofu) and GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux) in a hybrid role, combining backend development with cloud operations.

The role requires 5+ years in backend with strong Cloud & Infra experience, proficiency in Python/FastAPI and Go, and fluent French and technical English. Swiss-German collaboration is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Science (EPFL/HES Engineer, Master's or equivalent).
• 5+ years of Backend Engineering with strong Cloud & Infra focus.
• Proficiency in Python/FastAPI and Go, microservices, REST/gRPC, SQL/NoSQL.
• Operational experience on Amazon AWS is essential.
• Solid IaC & GitOps experience with Terraform/OpenTofu, Kubernetes, and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• DevOps and CI/CD with Docker and observability stacks.
• Fluent in French and English; German knowledge is essential for Swiss-German collaboration.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop, and maintain robust REST and gRPC APIs and microservices.
• Data modeling and relational database optimization (PostgreSQL).
• Ensure code quality through automated testing (unit/integration/e2e).
• Architect and manage Cloud infrastructure on AWS using IaC (Terraform/OpenTofu) and GitOps.
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines and observability stacks.
