People More is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Python / React) for an on-site role in Switzerland (Baar). You will develop backend services in Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy), support React frontend work, and optimise SQL Server databases.

You’ll bridge the local Swiss team and the Central IT team in Greece, delivering scalable solutions across the stack. The role requires strong English, independence, and ownership, with opportunities to influence architecture and processes, while

Qualifikationen

• Proficient in developing and maintaining production software systems.
• Very good knowledge of modern, typed Python.
• Experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL: queries, indexing, execution plans, schema design, large datasets.
• Experience with Docker and multi-service environments.
• Practical knowledge of React and JavaScript; able to work across the full stack.
• Strong analytical skills to understand complex processes and data flows.
• Excellent communication and ability to challenge technical decisions constructively.
• Independence, ownership, and willingness to lead from analysis to deployment.
• Fluent English skills.

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain backend services, frontend applications, and data pipelines.
• Build backend solutions in Python using FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQLAlchemy.
• Analyse and optimise Microsoft SQL Server databases and queries.
• Support frontend apps developed with React and JavaScript.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines feeding the platform with market data.
• Support quantitative models used for valuation, risk management and market analysis.
• Review solutions from Central IT and identify performance or architecture improvements.
• Provide professional technical feedback and act as a link between Switzerland and Greece IT teams.
• Translate traders’ needs into practical technical solutions.
• Support Docker-based deployments in multi-service environments.
