Zusammenfassung

Mercury Engineering is seeking an experienced Planner to lead scheduling efforts for large-scale construction projects in Switzerland. You will develop and maintain schedules across pre-construction, construction and commissioning phases, and report to the Planning Department and project management teams.

The role requires strong EVMS skills, proficiency in Primavera P6, and the ability to work under tight deadlines while coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in planning on large-scale construction projects.
• Proficient with Primavera P6 and Earned Value Management.
• Clear understanding of construction methodologies and sequence.

• Developing and maintaining schedules for pre-construction, construction and commissioning.
• Developing and maintaining progress databases and producing schedule reports.
• Progress reporting, milestone projections and delay/float path analysis.
• Auditing progress on site and attending schedule meetings with client and subcontractors.
• Providing data for payment applications and assisting in claims preparation.
• Covering Planning Manager and Project Planner responsibilities when required.
• Managing, training and developing staff as needed.
• All other duties associated with the role.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Responsible for a project or portfolio of projects (regional / sectoral)
• Responsible for all aspects of planning, as defined by the Planning SOP
• Reporting to Planning Department
• Reporting to Business Unit / Project Management
• Developing and maintaining schedules for pre-construction / construction / commissioning
• Developing and maintaining progress databases
• Progress reporting
• Milestone projections, delay / float path analysis
• Earned Value Management systems
• Monitoring schedule performance and productivity
• Auditing progress on site
• Attending schedule meetings, liaising with client and subcontractors
• Preparation of tender schedules
• Preparation of histograms
• Supporting weekly workface planning systems
• Resource / cash loading of schedules
• Providing data for payment applications
• Completing contract review reports
• Responsibility for quality and accuracy of schedules and reports
• Making relevant parties aware of issues and advising on solutions
• Recording delay and disruption
• Assisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputes
• Managing, training, coaching, supporting, developing, leading staff, if required
• Covering Planning Manager responsibilities when required
• Covering Project Planner responsibilities when required
• All other duties associated with role

Essential Criteria for the Role:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in planning on large-scale construction projects
• Be proficient using Primavera P6, Earned Value Management, Excel
• Clear understanding of construction methodologies and sequence
• Able to produce programme to plan and monitor the works from necessary information (drawings/model/SOW etc.).
• Capable of managing the planning of large-scale projects with minimum supervision.
• Be highly motivated, a self-starter & able to work well in a team on or your own.
• Ability to work well within strict deadlines
