Zusammenfassung

Mercury is seeking a Senior Planner for Zurich, Switzerland, to oversee planning on large-scale projects, coordinating pre-construction through commissioning, and reporting progress. The role requires strong leadership, advanced Excel skills, and experience managing planners on complex data centre projects.

Einzelne Aufgaben umfassen die Erstellung und Pflege von Zeitplänen, Berichterstattung, Meetings mit Kunden und Subunternehmern sowie die Vertretung des Planning Managers, wenn nötig.

Qualifikationen

• Relevant qualification in Engineering subject and/ or Planning/ Project Planning.
• 7 years’ experience as a Project Planner/ Senior Planner on large scale projects
• Experience with Data Centres would be an advantage
• Experience leading a team of planners with excellent communication and organisation skills
• Proficiency in Excel.

Key Responsibilities Of The Role

• Responsible for a project or portfolio of projects (regional / sectoral)
• Responsible for all aspects of planning, as defined by the Planning SOP
• Reporting to Planning Department
• Reporting to Business Unit / Project Management
• Developing and maintaining schedules for pre-construction / construction / commissioning
• Developing and maintaining progress databases
• Progress reporting
• Milestone projections, delay / float path analysis
• Earned Value Management systems
• Monitoring schedule performance and productivity
• Auditing progress on site
• Attending schedule meetings, liaising with client and subcontractors
• Preparation of tender schedules
• Preparation of histograms
• Leading planning meetings
• Supporting weekly workforce planning systems
• Resource / cash loading of schedules
• Providing data for payment applications
• Completing contract review reports
• Responsibility for quality and accuracy of schedules and reports
• Making relevant parties aware of issues and advising on solutions
• Recording delay and disruption
• Assisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputes
• Travelling to projects in order to carry out the above, if required
• Managing, training, coaching, supporting, developing, leading staff, if required
• Covering Planning Manager responsibilities when required
• Covering Project Planner responsibilities when required
• All other duties associated with role

Essential Criteria For The Role

• Relevant qualification in Engineering subject and/ or Planning/ Project Planning
• 7 years’ experience as a Project Planner/ Senior Planner on large scale projects
• Experience with Data Centres would be an advantage
• Experience leading a team of planners with excellent communication and organisation skills
• Proficiency in Excel.
