Mercury Engineering in Zürich, Switzerland, seeks an experienced CSA Construction Manager to coordinate CSA, MECH and ELEC work packages on large-scale data centre projects.

You will lead site safety, QA, planning and cost control, manage Mercury project teams and supervise sub-contractors to ensure progress and quality. A trade background or a degree in engineering/construction is required, and German language skills would be an advantage.

Qualifikationen

• 5-7 years experience as a CSA Construction Manager/Supervisor.
• Trade background or third level education in engineering/construction.
• German language would be an advantage.
• Data Centre experience would be an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Manage the co-ordination of all CSA, MECH and ELEC work packages.
• Management of Site Safety in conjunction with Mercury Safety Advisor and file.
• Management of Site QA in conjunction with Project Manager and team.
• Management of Project Schedule with Planner, PMs, Sub-Contractors and consultants.
• Management of all costs associated with Project with QS support.
• Management of all day to day site operations.
• Direct management of Mercury Engineering project team including discipline leads.
• Sub-contractor management including weekly progress meetings.
• Maintain Mercury snagging system and weekly punch lists.
• Ensure Sub-contractor documentation is updated and filed.
• Drive safety and quality culture on Mercury projects.
• Provide safety and quality leadership on all Mercury projects.
• Review weekly progress reports and highlight delays and design issues.
• Attend Site Meetings, reviews, planning, handover meetings.
• Close out project items including Final Account and QA files.
• Issue Daily Reports and weekly safety stats.
• Hold weekly commercial meetings to capture variations.
• Develop and implement company procedures with PMs.

The Employee’s responsibilities include:

• Manage the co-ordination of all CSA, MECH and ELEC work packages.
• Management of Site Safety in conjunction with Mercury Safety Advisor, including set up, management of and closing out of file.
• Management of Site QA in conjunction with Mercury Project Manager and team including set up, management and close out of file.
• Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Planner, Project Managers, Sub-Contractors and consulting Engineer/Architect to Mercury Engineering and Client requirements
• Management of all costs associated with Project with the support of the project QS including:
  • - Labour
  • -Material
  • -Plant and Equipment
  • -Variations
  • -Valuations
• Management of all day to day site operations
• Direct management of Mercury Engineering project team including alignment of all discipline leads to the benefit of project goals.
• Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels. Ensure that there is a weekly minuted meeting with sub-contractor.
• Management of the Mercury “In Progress” snagging system ensuring that the supervisors return weekly punch lists where applicable.
• Ensure all Sub-contractor documentation including safety documentation is maintained up to date and filed for future reference.
• Drive the Mercury Engineering culture of safety and quality through the project.
• Provide the safety and quality leadership required on all Mercury projects.
• Review the weekly progress report before it is issued to all stakeholders. Highlight areas not available, and delays, shortage of design, third party hold ups and percentage
• Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings
• Close out of all project items including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan – all with the Support of your Project team.
• Issue Daily Report to the Project Manager
• Issue weekly safety stats & project labour projections.
• Hold weekly commercial meetings with the commercial team to ensure all variations are being captured and costs issued to the client.
• Develop and implement company procedures with the Project Managers.
• Ensure change management is handled correctly (Cost & Programme).
• Review drawings and setting out details.
• Produce builders works drawings for services.
• Carry out distribute & close out CSA snags.
• All other duties associated with this role.
• Good strong working knowledge of CSA Construction process
• 5-7 years experience as a CSA Construction Manager/ Supervisor
• Trade background or third level education in a relevant engineering/ construction background
• German language would be an advantage
• Proven track record in coordinating and managing large scale projects
• Data Centre experience would be an advantage
