Mercury Engineering in Zürich is seeking a CSA Construction Manager to coordinate civil, structural and architectural work packages on large-scale projects, ensuring safety, QA, schedule, and cost control in a collaborative environment.

The role requires 5–7 years of CSA construction management experience, a trade background or tertiary education in engineering/construction. German language is advantageous and Data Centre experience is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate civil, structural and architectural work packages.
• Manage site safety with Mercury Safety Advisor and file closure.
• Oversee site QA with Project Manager and team and file closure.
• Coordinate project schedule with Planner, PMs, subs, engineers/architects.
• Control project costs with project QS: labour, materials, plant, variations, valuations.
• Lead day-to-day site operations and subcontractor activities.
• Ensure subcontractor safety documentation is up to date and filed.
• Attend site meetings, reviews, planning and handover meetings.
• Close out: final accounts, manuals, punch lists, safety/QA files.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Manage the co-ordination of the Civil, Structural and Architectural work packages.
• Management of Site Safety in conjunction with Mercury Safety Advisor, including set up, management of and closing out of file.
• Management of Site QA in conjunction with Mercury Project Manager and team including set up, management and close out of file.
• Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Planner, Project Managers, Sub-Contractors and consulting Engineer/Architect to Mercury Engineering and Client requirements
• Management of all costs associated with Project with the support of the project QS including:
  -Labour
  -Material
  -Plant and Equipment
  -Variations
  -Valuations
  
• Management of all day to day site operations
• Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and staffing levels. Ensure that there is a weekly minuted meeting with sub-contractor.
• Ensure all Sub-contractor documentation including safety documentation is maintained up to date and filed for future reference.
• Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings
• Close out of all project items including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan – all with the Support of your Project team.
• Issue Daily Report to the Project Manager
• Issue weekly safety stats & project labour projections.
• Hold weekly commercial meetings with the commercial team to ensure all variations are being captured and costs issued to the client.
• Develop and implement company procedures with the Project Managers.
• Ensure change management is handled correctly (Cost & Programme).
• Review drawings and setting out details.
• Produce builders works drawings for services.
• Carry out distribute & close out CSA snags.
• All other duties associated with this role and/or reasonably required by the Company the Company reserves the right to vary the scope and nature of the Employee’s normal duties to take into account changes in the Company’s work patterns and practices and the requirements of its business.

Essential Criteria for the Role:

• Good strong working knowledge of CSA Construction process
• 5-7 years experience as a CSA Construction Manager/ Supervisor
• Trade background or third level education in a relevant engineering/ construction background
• German language would be an advantage
• Proven track record in coordinating and managing large scale projects
• Data Centre experience would be an advantage
