Johnson & Johnson, located in Zuchwil, Switzerland, seeks a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to join the DePuy Synthes TechOps group. The role focuses on NPI, developing manufacturing solutions for implants, and coordinating with R&D, Quality, marketing, and suppliers to ensure robust, cost-effective production.

You will drive design for manufacturability, prototype development, and process validation across multiple sites, while mentoring junior engineers and supporting ERP and quality systems.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related, required
• Minimum of 6 years of experience is required in a maintenance manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience in Project Management is preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience working at medical device industry or pharmaceutical preferred

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with R&D, Quality engineers and External Manufacturers to develop new product designs within a cross-functional team
• Establish the relationship between product design features and the manufacturing methods
• Provide design for manufacturing reviews to ensure manufacturability and proper tolerancing
• Manage prototype manufacturing and cost estimates for components and assemblies
• Support external manufacturers in process development, validation and stabilization
• Mentor entry level engineers and oversee suppliers to optimize manufacturability
