Job summary

Lonza in Visp, Switzerland, seeks experienced Process Experts in Ibex Solutions for mammalian large-scale manufacturing (up to 20,000 L). You own the successful scale-up, supervision and optimization of mammalian processes, from design to transfer and batch release, in collaboration with MSAT and operations.

You will lead cross-functional teams, drive tech transfers, ensure process scalability and manufacturability, and contribute to continuous improvement and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor / Master’s degree, PhD preferred.
• 5+ years in biopharma manufacturing or process development.
• GMP and bioprocess technology understanding.
• Fluency in English and German.
• Strong leadership with cross-functional collaboration.
• Structured, proactive, problem-solving attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams on technology transfers and up-scaling.
• Interface between process donor and operations; ensure manufacturability.
• Ensure risk management and change control during transfers.
• Contribute inputs for block-flow diagrams and process lists.
• Implement manufacturing processes in the plant with GMP alignment.
• Collaborate with customers during tech transfer and campaign execution.
• Prepare deviations, change requests and campaign reports.
• Mentor scientific and production staff; provide trainings.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovative trends.
