Job summary

Lonza is seeking a MSAT Process Specialist for the Visp site to support transfer, scale-up and validation of biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes. You will provide hands-on technical expertise to ensure robust production.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, Engineering and R&D, develop validation protocols, SOPs, and reports, and help drive continuous improvement while maintaining cGMP compliance at a fast-paced site.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or related field.
• 3–5 years' experience in biopharma process development, MSAT or manufacturing support.
• Strong knowledge of downstream purification processes and cGMP.
• Experience with technology transfer, scale-up and validation activities.
• Proficient data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead/process validation activities in downstream unit operations.
• Support transfer of new manufacturing processes from R&D to production with scale-up and validation.
• Investigate deviations, perform CAPAs and root-cause analysis.
• Develop and revise process documentation, SOPs, protocols, and reports.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Support regulatory submissions and data trending for process performance.
