Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Proven experience in downstream processing (purification) for mammalian cell culture biopharmaceutical manufacturing or MSAT environments.
• In-depth expertise in unit operations such as chromatography, filtration, and process scale-up.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and structured investigation skills in GMP manufacturing.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact and SME for DSP in mammalian cell culture manufacturing within Ibex.
• Lead technical transfer, scale-up, and implementation of downstream purification processes into clinical and commercial facilities.
• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and investigations for process deviations and yield non-conformances.
• Analyze manufacturing data, monitor process consistency, and drive continuous process improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality Assurance, MSAT Lab, and customers for smooth execution.
• Author, review, and approve technical documentation including batch records and regulatory filings.
