Job summary

MSF OCG Geneva seeks a Medical Coordinator to lead medico-operational priorities, provide technical guidance, and coordinate medical resources across field operations in Sudan, South Sudan and Ethiopia. This role collaborates with Medical Coordinators and departments to ensure coherent medical support and adherence to standards.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in humanitarian settings, a medical degree, and English fluency; knowledge of French/Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

Fluency in English is required.
French and/or Arabic are advantageous.
Programme management, project design and monitoring.
Ability to analyse medical and structural issues.
Team management and cooperation skills.

Responsibilities

Define medico-operational priorities for emergencies or protracted crises.
Support implementation of current projects as technical referent for Medical Coordinators.
Provide technical guidance to Medical Coordinators and field teams.
Plan medical resources aligned with objectives across departments.
Prioritize field requests for support considering capacity to absorb resources.
Monitor medical activities and propose project adjustments with in-country teams.
Contribute to development of medical policies and strategies.
Supervise field analysis of epidemiological context and promote innovative tools.
