Job summary

MSF Switzerland in Geneva is seeking a Medical Coordinator-level professional to lead medico-operational priorities and provide expert medical input to field projects. You will coordinate with the Medical Department and field teams, ensuring coherent support across operations.

The role requires 3–5 years in developing countries, English fluency, and willingness to travel and manage field teams. Fixed-term, 40 hours/week, based in Geneva with field visits. Start date: January 2027.

Qualifications

• Medical doctor or nurse with relevant clinical background.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in developing countries.
• Fluency in English is required.
• French and/or Arabic is an advantage.
• Knowledge of humanitarian relief and international public health.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic medico-operational priorities to respond to medico-humanitarian situations across emergencies or protracted crises.
• Support the implementation of current projects by advising Medical Coordinators and providing technical input from the Medical Department.
• Create collaborative platforms with HR, Finance, Logistics and Supply to ensure coherent medical support.
• Plan medical resources aligned with medico-operational objectives and field needs.
• Advise on needs assessments, data analysis and project adjustments with field teams and headquarters.
• Supervise field medical activities and contribute to monitoring, sitreps, and annual reports.
