AYES - Management & Technology Consulting is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Cockpit to strengthen our aeronautics team in Switzerland. You will own detailed cockpit component design and support the lifecycle from concept to industrialization.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in aeronautics mechanical design, strong DfM experience, and proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter, delivering manufacturable primary and secondary aircraft structures.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design within the aeronautics industry.
• Proven experience in Detailed Design, Design for Manufacturing (DfM), PDR and CDR activities.
• Strong experience designing primary and secondary aircraft structures.
• Solid knowledge of metallic structures and materials.
• Extensive experience designing cockpit structures and cockpit system installations.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.

Aufgaben

• Develop detailed mechanical designs for aircraft cockpit structures and components.
• Design metallic parts with focus on Design for Manufacturing (DfM).
• Support the complete product development lifecycle from design through industrialization.
• Participate in PDR and CDR reviews.
• Produce and maintain high quality 3D models, drawings, and documentation.
• Collaborate with stress, manufacturing, certification, and systems teams to deliver compliant, manufacturable designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical designs for aircraft cockpit structures and components.
• Design metallic parts with focus on Design for Manufacturing (DfM).
• Support the complete product development lifecycle, from design through industrialization.
• Participate in Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR).
• Produce and maintain high quality 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Work closely with stress, manufacturing, certification, and systems engineering teams to deliver compliant and manufacturable designs.

• At least 10 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the aeronautics industry.
