ALTEN Switzerland AG is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support cutting-edge aircraft programs with a focus on cabin and cockpit structures. The role emphasizes Part 23 compliance, DfM principles, and collaboration across engineering, certification, and production teams.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering and has 7+ years of cabin/cockpit design experience, with Siemens NX proficiency and English fluency (German a plus).

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years' experience in cabin and cockpit structure design and system installations.
• Knowledge of Part 23 regulation and ATA 21/23/24/27/34/53 is a plus.
• Proficient in English; German is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop cabin and cockpit structures.
• Create cockpit system installations for ATA 21, 23, 24, 27, 34, and 53.
• Ensure designs meet Part 23 standards and DfM principles.
• Generate 2D/3D models, drawings, and BOMs in Siemens NX.
• Collaborate with engineering, certification, and production teams to validate designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop cabin structures and cockpit structures;
• Create cockpit system installations for ATA 21, ATA 23, ATA 24, ATA 27, ATA 34, and ATA 53;
• Ensure designs meet Part 23 regulatory standards and Design for Manufacturing (DfM) principles;
• Generate detailed 2D/3D models, production drawings and BOMs in Siemens NX;
• Collaborate with engineering, certification, and production teams to validate designs and support testing.

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent);
• 7+ years of experience in cabin/cockpit structure design and system installations (Part 23 preferred);
• Siemens NX (or equivalent) for 3D modeling and drafting;
• Knowledge of ATA 21, 23, 24, 27, 34, 53;
• Professional proficiency in English. German is a plus.
