Zusammenfassung

AYES - Management & Technology Consulting, a Switzerland-based engineering and technology consulting firm, seeks an experienced avionics systems engineer to lead requirements, architecture, and integration across avionics programs in Europe and the USA.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in aerospace or safety-critical industries, expertise in integrated avionics design, and familiarity with FAA/EASA frameworks. Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

  • University Degree in Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in aerospace or safety-critical industries working in systems engineering and avionics development.
  • Proven experience in the design and development of integrated avionics systems.
  • Experience in military aviation environments is considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of tactical communication systems, datalink technologies (e.g., Link 16), and radar systems.
  • Familiarity with avionics systems such as EFIS, FMS, or Flight Control Systems (FCS).
  • Exposure to Electronic Warfare (EW), ECM, or weapon system integration is beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of FAA, EASA, or military aviation certification frameworks.
  • Fluent English (C1) is required, German language skills are considered an advantage.

Aufgaben

  • Capture and analyze system requirements, assessing feasibility and contributing to early system architecture and concept definition.
  • Coordinate the design, development, integration, verification, and certification of complex avionics systems.
  • Support system integration activities and ensure compliance with applicable aviation regulations.
  • Prepare and review system requirements documentation and certification engineering reports.
  • Perform and review System Safety Assessments, including FHA and related safety studies.
  • Interface with external suppliers, customers, procurement teams, and certification authorities on technical matters.
  • Contribute to technology development and innovation initiatives within avionics programs.
  • Provide engineering support to production, integration, and customer support teams.

Key Responsibilities
