Job summary

UNITED MACHINING is seeking a Senior IT Systems & Infrastructure Engineer to manage, optimize, and secure our global on-prem IT landscape. You will lead migrations, automate operations, and ensure reliability across servers, storage, and core services.

The role requires 10+ years of hands-on infra experience, strong scripting, and experience with Azure/hybrid environments. International collaboration and professional English are essential.

Qualifications

• Higher education completed in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 10+ years hands-on enterprise IT infrastructure experience, on-premises.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware, storage and backup.
• Strong networking, Active Directory, DNS, PKI and security.
• Experience with scripting, automation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud.
• Proven experience in migrations and complex IT projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in international teams.
• English proficiency at professional level.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize enterprise IT infrastructure (servers, VMware, storage, backups).
• Administer core services: Active Directory, DNS, GPO and PKI.
• Ensure availability, security, performance and disaster recovery readiness.
• Automate operations using PowerShell and IaC.
• Lead infrastructure migrations and carve-out activities.
• Maintain documentation and support security/compliance initiatives.
