LHH Recruitment Solutions via Geneva-based client seeks a Sr IT Systems & Infrastructure Engineer to optimize on‑prem and hybrid infra. You will manage Windows and Linux servers, VMware, storage and backup, while administering AD, DNS, PKI and security controls.

You will automate operations with PowerShell and IaC, lead migrations, and maintain strong documentation. Excellent English and a proactive mindset are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 10+ years in IT infrastructure engineering and operations (on-prem).
• Experience in scripting, automation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience in infrastructure migrations and complex IT transformation projects.
• Excellent knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware, storage and backup.
• Strong networking, Active Directory, DNS, PKI and security basics.
• Good knowledge of MS Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
• Very good level in English.

Responsibilities

As a Sr IT Systems & Infrastructure Engineer, you manage and optimize the IT infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers, VMware, storage, and backup systems. You also administer core infrastructure services such as AD, DNS, GPO, and PKI. In this role, you ensure infrastructure availability, security, performance, and disaster recovery readiness. In addition, you automate infrastructure operations using PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You play a leading technical role in infrastructure migration and separation activities. Finally, you maintain technical documentation and support security and compliance initiatives.

Profile

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years experience in IT infrastructure engineering and operations (on-premises environments)
• Experience in scripting, automation and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience in infrastructure migrations and complex IT transformation projects
• Excellent knowledge in Windows Server, Linux, VMware, enterprise storage and backup solutions
• Very good understanding of networking, Active Directory, DNS, PKI and infrastructure security
• Good knowledge in MS Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
• Very good level in English
