Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer in a remote role based in Europe. You will own cloud infrastructure across AWS, deploy pipelines, and production reliability for a growing software platform.

You will shape architecture, improve scalability, and work on distributed systems, PostgreSQL optimization, and AI-assisted development tools while maintaining high-quality engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of software/platform engineering experience with ownership of production infra.
• Strong practical knowledge of AWS and production cloud design.
• Proven IaC experience with Terraform or similar tools.
• Knowledge of distributed systems incl. idempotency, retries and partial failures.
• Production PostgreSQL with migrations, tuning, backups and restore.
• Fluent in TypeScript/Node.js, NestJS or modern backend architectures.
• Ability to debug, troubleshoot high-availability systems independently.
• Comfort using AI-enabled development tools within engineering workflows.
• Excellent collaboration across product and engineering teams.
• Genuine product-minded focus on outcomes and customer value.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and run AWS infrastructure to support scalable apps.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for safe auto releases.
• Manage production PostgreSQL performance, migrations, and backups.
• Investigate production issues, ensure reliability and resettable design.
• Balance rapid delivery with long-term stability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product teams to align infra decisions with goals.
• Evaluate AI-assisted tools to improve coding, testing, and deployment.
