Job summary

Michael Page (Switzerland) is recruiting a Senior Fund Controller to oversee the financial oversight, reporting, and control of a diversified portfolio of investment structures in the Zug area. You will partner with investment, legal, compliance, tax and operations teams, coordinate external administrators and auditors, and contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CA) is advantageous.
• Several years of experience within fund accounting, fund controlling, financial reporting, audit, or alternative investments.
• Strong understanding of investment structures and financial reporting environments.
• Experience working with external administrators, auditors, and professional service providers.
• Sound knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, or comparable accounting frameworks.
• Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with modern reporting systems and tools.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional European languages are considered a plus.
• Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented personality with strong stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fund and investment vehicle accounting, reporting, and financial control activities.
• Review periodic NAV calculations, reconciliations, financial statements, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate external service providers and ensure adherence to agreed deliverables and timelines.
• Monitor capital activity, cash management, forecasting, and investor-related transactions.
• Support audits and act as a key contact for external auditors and other professional service providers.
• Collaborate closely with investment, legal, compliance, tax, and operations teams.
• Participate in the setup and launch of new investment structures and related initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve controls, reporting processes, and operational efficiency.
• Support management with financial analysis and ad hoc reporting requirements.
• Contribute to ongoing systems, automation, and process improvement projects.
