Job summary

Michael Page, in Zürich, collaborates with a well-established international organisation to recruit a hands-on finance professional. You will manage end-to-end accounting activities, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring Swiss VAT compliance and robust internal controls.

The successful candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, at least 3 years of experience, ERP experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, advanced Excel, fluent English (German a plus), and thrives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, controlling, or financial management.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and P&L management.
• Practical knowledge of Swiss VAT and statutory reporting requirements.
• Hands-on ERP experience with Dynamics 365 BC.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger postings, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, management reports, and P&L reporting.
• Lead budget preparation, financial forecasting, and expenditure tracking.
• Analyse budget variances and provide financial recommendations to support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with Swiss accounting requirements, VAT regulations, and statutory obligations.
• Act as a key contact for VAT-related topics, supporting international transactions and country-specific requirements where applicable.
• Coordinate audit preparation and liaise with external auditors, accountants, and advisors.
• Drive financial process improvements, internal controls, and reporting efficiencies.
• Support ERP optimisation and data quality initiatives, with a preference for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
