Omya is seeking an experienced R&D professional to provide technical and laboratory service support across development stages for food-related products and solutions. You will design and execute proof-of-concept studies, conduct trials, collect and interpret data, and prepare technical reports for diverse stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Food Engineering or related field; PhD preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role or product development in the food industry (B2B preferred).
• Strong understanding of the food ingredient market; experience in powder processing is an advantage.
• Proven ability to design experiments, analyze and interpret data, and translate results from lab, field, and customer trials into actionable recommendations.
• Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to work independently while fostering collaboration.
• Experience in technical leadership positions preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Solid project management skills, including planning and documentation.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; additional languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% as required.

Aufgaben

• Provides technical and laboratory service support for existing products and solutions across all stages of development.
• Designs and executes proof-of-concept studies for new products and R&D initiatives.
• Conducts laboratory, field, and customer trials, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation of results.
• Prepares and maintains technical documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborates closely with Technical Services, Commercialization Management, Regional Sales, and Key Account teams to support the technical conversion of sales opportunities.
• Delivers training to Sales teams, channel partners, and new Technical Services team members on product applications and testing methodologies.
