Job summary

GXP CONSULTING Switzerland is seeking a Senior Manager DSP to lead a Downstream Processing manufacturing unit within a biopharmaceutical environment. You will manage a multidisciplinary team and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations while meeting quality and delivery expectations.

As part of the Manufacturing Leadership Team you will combine people leadership, DSP expertise, and operational excellence, collaborating with MSAT, Quality, and other interfaces across the organization.

Qualifications

• MSc or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in biotechnological manufacturing (bioprocess engineering or production biotechnology).
• Fluent in English and German, with strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the DSP manufacturing team and drive performance, workforce planning, recruitment, and talent development.
• Ensure GMP-compliant, safe, and efficient DSP operations and production campaigns.
• Own operational performance in the DSP area, including KPIs, issues, and delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and operational excellence across manufacturing.
• Collaborate with MSAT, Production Support, Quality, and USP Operations; manage escalations.
