EFOR is seeking a Head of Downstream Processing Manufacturing Operations in Visp, Switzerland. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, biotechnologists, and shift leads to ensure safe, compliant DSP production campaigns and on-time delivery.

The role requires 10+ years in biotechnological manufacturing, MSc-level education, and fluency in English and German. You will drive continuous improvement, collaboration across MSAT/QA, and serve as a site leadership team member.

Qualifikationen

• MSc or equivalent degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in both English and German.
• 10+ years of experience in biotechnological manufacturing (e.g., Production Biotechnologist, Bioprocess Engineer).
• Demonstrated agility with a continuous improvement mindset and ability to lead change initiatives.
• Strong business acumen with ability to align objectives to strategy and identify improvement opportunities.

Aufgaben

• Lead, develop, and coach a multidisciplinary manufacturing team with overall responsibility for performance management and talent development.
• Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of DSP manufacturing operations in line with GMP and quality requirements.
• Drive operational excellence by managing performance metrics and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee resource planning, training strategy, and adoption of new technologies for readiness and performance.
• Provide cross-functional leadership and maintain collaboration with MSAT, QA, USP Operations, and other stakeholders.
• Represent manufacturing in customer meetings, audits, and regulatory inspections.
