Lonza in Basel is seeking a Senior Director, Commercial Development to accelerate growth across the Advanced Synthesis platform. You will lead commercial strategy for Small Molecules API manufacturing and engage customers to shape differentiated offerings.

Daily work involves collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Portfolio Management, Operations and R&D to align market opportunities with capabilities and investment plans, driving long-term growth and competitive advantage for Lonza.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive CDMO experience in Small Molecule drug substance and/or drug product.
• Strong understanding of the drug development process and Small Molecule manufacturing.
• Strong spray drying expertise.
• Proven commercial leadership, customer engagement and negotiation experience.
• Ability to lead and influence effectively in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Customer-focused and results-oriented mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Execute Lonza’s strategic growth plan for Small Molecules and own customer proposals and negotiations.
• Support development and implementation of new business offerings aligned with Advanced Synthesis priorities.
• Provide commercial and technical expertise during customer engagements, conferences and strategic discussions.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales and Portfolio Management to identify and secure market opportunities.
• Develop commercial strategies and new business models to strengthen Lonza’s position and growth.
• Maintain collaboration with Operations, Site Leadership and R&D to align opportunities with capabilities and investment plans.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities.
• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, Technical, Operations and Business Leadership.
