Zusammenfassung

Nexthink is seeking a Staff or Senior Desktop Application Developer to design, architect, and implement our AI-powered self-service chat agent desktop client for Windows and macOS. You will set technical direction for the client layer, collaborating with backend, AI/ML, and security teams to ship a production-grade application at global scale.

You will lead architectural decisions, drive performance and reliability improvements, and mentor engineers while shaping the desktop engineering practice

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of desktop application engineering experience shipping native apps on Windows and macOS.
• Proficient in Rust and/or C++ with cross-platform desktop app experience.
• Deep knowledge of Windows and macOS OS APIs.
• Hands-on experience with full distribution lifecycle: signing, packaging, updates, deployment at scale.
• Strong understanding of desktop performance profiling, memory management, and crash diagnostics.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Track record of mentoring and elevating engineering teams.

Aufgaben

• Define and drive the desktop client architecture and technical vision.
• Lead design of a high-performance native desktop app for Windows and macOS at large scale (20M+ endpoints).
• Collaborate with product, backend, and AI/ML teams to align client with the AI platform.
• Provide technical leadership on architecture, coding standards, and best practices for native desktop development.
• Architect and deliver a secure, reliable app covering signing, packaging, installation, updates, and uninstallation.
• Champion observability, crash reporting, performance monitoring, and diagnostics across the client stack.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across teams.
• Lead technical deep dives, design reviews, and roadmap alignment with leadership.
