Nexthink is looking for a Staff or Senior Desktop Application Developer to design, architect, and implement our AI-powered IT self-service chat agent — a native desktop client distributed to 20+ million endpoints worldwide. This role shapes the client layer, guiding cross-team design decisions and serving as a trusted advisor to engineering leadership.

You will tackle performance, reliability, and OS integration challenges while partnering with backend, infra, and security teams to ship

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of desktop application engineering experience shipping native apps on Windows and macOS.
• Strong proficiency in Rust and/or C++, with native OS API knowledge.
• Experience owning client architecture, distribution lifecycle, and performance diagnostics.
• Ability to mentor teams and influence cross-functional decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and track record of delivering at scale.

Aufgaben

• Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for the desktop client.
• Lead design of a high-performance native app on Windows and macOS at 20M+ endpoints.
• Collaborate with product, backend, and AI/ML teams to align client with the AI platform.
• Provide leadership on architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
• Architect and deliver secure, distributed deployment including signing, packaging, updates.
