Job summary

The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel, Switzerland, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead the Capacity Development Modernisation (CDM) project within the Financial Stability Institute. This 3-year fixed-term role focuses on delivering interactive learning content and AI-enabled features, aligning with BIS100 objectives.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets and timelines, and liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level. Master’s degree or other relevant postgraduate degree or specialisation would be an asset.
• Experience with learning-management systems, digital learning, or technology-enabled business transformation. Experience with artificial intelligence will be an asset.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional projects from feasibility and planning through implementation and transition to business as usual.
• Experience conducting gap analysis between current and future states to identify components of the overall change strategy.
• Understands business context, needs, rules, and technological architecture, as well as organisational structure, cultures, capabilities, and processes to document business operations.
• Ability to lead facilitated sessions for requirements elicitation, focus groups, and user acceptance testing.
• Experiened to express user needs in terms of business requirements, identify current capability of the business to deliver, conduct build or buy analyses, and recommend preferred approach.
• Experienced to assess process performance and to recommend improvements.
• Experienced to prioritise components of a project, programme, or portfolio work in context with risks, activities, stakeholders, etc. across the life of the project or programme.
• Ability to identify potential stakeholders, analyse their expectations, and develop strategies for managing stakeholders and their expectations.
• Experienced to manage the documentation, archiving, traceability, changes, and approvals of requirements throughout the project life cycle.
• Experienced to coordinate and collaborate effectively with colleagues to obtain information, feedback and input on key deliverables of the project.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate and reliable project records.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet fixed reporting deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and analyse CDM requirements with SMEs and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with SPMO and vendors for project updates and governance papers.
• Maintain the project plan with milestones, dependencies and resources.
• Monitor CDM budget, forecasts and variances; provide financial updates.
• Coordinate with suppliers and partners; manage procurement, invoicing and contracts.
• Support stakeholder engagement through pilot evaluations and materials.
• Carry out feasibility assessments and evolve business cases.
• Suggest operational improvements to streamline processes.
• Support AI content development, platform interoperability and testing.
• Develop and monitor performance metrics for the CDM project.
