Job summary

The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for the Financial Stability Institute. The role supports the Capacity Development Modernisation (CDM) project, coordinating with internal teams, external vendors, and academic partners to deliver solutions that improve learning content, AI-enabled features, and platform interoperability.

The position offers hybrid work from Basel with relocation support for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level.
• Master’s degree or other relevant postgraduate degree would be an asset.
• Experience with learning-management systems, digital learning, or technology-enabled business transformation.
• Experience with artificial intelligence will be an asset.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional projects from feasibility through implementation.
• Understanding of business context, needs, rules, and technological architecture.
• Ability to lead sessions for requirements elicitation and testing.
• Experience to document business operations and to manage stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead CDM project management and liaise between the FSI, SP-MO, vendors, and external partners.
• Define and analyse CDM requirements with subject matter experts; identify feasible solutions.
• Maintain project plans, milestones, and governance artefacts; monitor progress and costs.
• Coordinate procurement, invoicing and contract management with suppliers and partners.
• Develop and monitor standard performance metrics to support decision making.
• Support testing, acceptance activities and platform interoperability initiatives.
