Job summary

ETH Zurich is seeking a Senior Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Specialist to lead the analog/mixed-signal area within the Microelectronics Design Center (DZ) of the D-ITET. The role involves owning the IC design infrastructure, driving advanced tape-outs, and supporting researchers and students with cutting-edge flows.

You will work with Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics and open-source tools, mentor colleagues, and help develop training modules and lab sessions.

Qualifications

PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred.
At least 5 years IC design experience with analog/mixed-signal.
Proven record of multiple tape-outs, including advanced nodes (22nm/FinFET).
Strong UNIX and scripting skills; proficiency with major EDA tools.

Responsibilities

Lead the analog/mixed-signal area of the IC design infrastructure and develop it to support researchers and students.
Develop and maintain common building blocks for mixed-signal ICs and larger chips.
Support design flows covering IC design aspects with focus on analog/mixed-signal flows using Cadence/Synopsys/Mentor tools.
Interact with students and researchers to assist IC design questions, tape-out and fabrication submissions.
Develop and deliver targeted training modules and lab sessions for students and researchers.
Contribute to outreach and web presence and prepare periodic activity reports.
