Job summary

ETH Zurich’s Microelectronics Design Center seeks a Senior Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Specialist. You will lead the analog/mixed-signal area, support researchers and students, and shape design flows with Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor tools, and UNIX scripting.

A PhD is preferred with 5+ years of IC design and proven tape-out history across advanced nodes. You will collaborate across teams, develop training modules, and contribute to reporting and outreach to enhance group visibility.

Qualifications

• PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred.
• At least 5 years IC design experience in industry or research.
• Hands-on tape-out experience across multiple nodes, including 22nm/FinFET.
• Proficiency with major EDA tools and UNIX/scripting.
• Strong communication and leadership in technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analog/mixed-signal IC design area within the DZ.
• Own and develop the IC design infrastructure to support researchers and students.
• Support design flows for analog/mixed-signal designs with state-of-the-art tools.
• Interact with researchers and students for IC design questions, tape-outs, and fabrication submissions.
• Develop and maintain common building blocks and participate in training and reviews.
