Job summary

RUAG C5I in Bern seeks a DevOps Engineer to design, implement and operate secure, highly automated infrastructure in a private cloud. You will build Linux systems and Kubernetes environments, deploy security monitoring, and support incident response while integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.

You should have hands-on Linux, networking, Terraform/Ansible expertise and an understanding of hardening. Swiss citizenship and on‑site work in Bern are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, CS or cybersecurity.
• Hands-on Linux and infrastructure engineering experience.
• Experience with security monitoring, SIEM or incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate secure, automated on‑prem private cloud.
• Build and maintain Linux systems and Kubernetes environments.
• Deploy security monitoring and SIEM, and respond to incidents.
• Automate provisioning with Terraform and Ansible.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
• Strengthen infrastructure security via hardening and access controls.
• Troubleshoot issues across infra, networks and apps.
