Job summary

RUAG Inc. in Switzerland seeks a security-focused infrastructure engineer to design, implement and operate secure, highly automated private cloud and Linux/Kubernetes environments.

You will deploy security monitoring, SIEM, and incident response, integrate security into CI/CD, and automate provisioning with Terraform and Ansible. A practical, hands-on mindset and Swiss citizenship requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems and infrastructure engineering.
• Experience in security monitoring, threat detection, SIEM or incident response.
• Good understanding of networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing and firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate secure and highly automated infrastructure in an on-premise private cloud.
• Build and maintain Linux-based systems and Kubernetes environments.
• Deploy and operate security monitoring and detection solutions, including SIEM platforms.
• Support the investigation and handling of security incidents and improve detection capabilities.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.
• Integrate security measures into CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Strengthen infrastructure security through system hardening, vulnerability management and access controls.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues across infrastructure, networks and applications.
