Zusammenfassung

Climeworks is seeking a Science Manager to ensure our nature-based solutions offering stays aligned with high-quality carbon dioxide removal standards. You will drive assessment frameworks, supplier reviews, and due diligence across ARR, IFM, and Mangroves, collaborating with Sourcing to align our strategy and product positioning.

You will shape pathways, perform market intelligence, and support partnerships with rating agencies, registries, and NGOs.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in a relevant field; PhD is a plus.
• Experience in nature-based solutions (ARR/IFM/Mangroves) and MRV.
• Ability to handle multiple datasets with scientific rigor.
• Strong business judgement for project assessments.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Aufgaben

• Extend and tailor Climeworks Quality Assessment Frameworks for nature-based pathways.
• Engage with suppliers, perform rating assessments, and monitor projects.
• Conduct deep due diligence on projects covering additionality, measurability, and risks.
• Classify projects into sub-pathways and archetypes.
• Map project universe across geographies and rank best-in-class projects.
• Support contracting with quality-based amendments.
• Develop partnerships with rating agencies, registries, NGOs, and thinkers.
• Collaborate to shape strategy for each pathway and industry trends.
• Assist in customer conversations and RFP responses with project insights.
• Educate internal stakeholders on scientific developments and market evolution.
