Zusammenfassung

Lonza Visp site in Switzerland is seeking a Production Scheduler to proactively maintain and improve the production schedule. This fully site-based role supports real-time collaboration to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and families. The role requires SAP expertise, CPIM knowledge is a plus, and fluency in English and German.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with extensive years of proven experience in end-to-end Supply Chain.
• Strong SAP background with skills in financial, scheduling and materials planning.
• APICS CPIM knowledge is advantageous.
• Proficient in English and German.

• Create, supervise and maintain short term schedules to drive short term execution of plans.
• Incorporate input from all relevant departments to ensure schedules are realistic within constraints and latest information.
• Drive optimization of schedules by balancing demand priorities against production sequencing and resource utilization.
• Maintain detailed planning and scheduling parameters in planning system to allow optimal use of system scheduling functionality.
• Generate relevant critical metrics to support identification of trends or root causes of sub-optimal performance.
• Provide data for the MRP process to meet production demands.

Scheduler Site Supply Chain 80%-100% (m/f/d)

The actual location of this job is in Visp, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.

The Production Scheduler is responsible for proactively maintaining and continuously improving the production schedule.

Perform all duties to ensure the departmental schedules are accurate and communicated to all relevant departments to drive short term execution of plans.

Ensure all schedules are created respecting existing labor and asset capacities and achievable based on planned material availabilities

Drive timely resolution of all scheduling conflicts with relevant stakeholders.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

• Drive optimization of schedules by balancing demand priorities against optimal production sequencing and efficient resource (facility/suite, equipment, staff, materials etc.) utilization
• Ensure all feedback regarding changes to existing plans is incorporated into
  schedules in timely manner
• Maintain detailed planning and scheduling parameters in planning system to
  allow optimal use of system scheduling functionality
• Generate relevant critical metric and operational measures to support identification of trends or root causing of sub-optimal performance
• Maintain accurate production schedule, providing data for the MRP process to meet production demands
• Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing
  tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material
  priorities
• Monitor production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw
  materials, and quality control measures, using this information for Continuous Improvement activities such as maintenance of routings and BOM’s, increasing accuracy of production schedule and efficiency reporting

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with extensive years of proven experience in end-to-end Supply Chain, solid knowledge in APICS CPIM professional standards is an advantage.
• Strong SAP background with skills in financial, scheduling and materials planning is a must (Planview background an additional benefit)
• Demonstrates the courage and integrity to engage in difficult conversations with internal teams and management when needed, encouraging transparency, growth, and collaboration
• Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Change adaptability skills
• Proficient in English and German (spoken and written)
