Job summary

RIVR, part of Amazon, is seeking a Robotics Field Engineer in Zürich to bridge advanced robotics tech and real-world deployment. You will act as the Tier 2 interface for field issues, debug hardware and software, and provide RCA-driven insights to QA and product teams.

In this role you will travel up to 50% and help shape test cases and field readiness across diverse sites, contributing to scalable, reliable robot operations in real-world environments.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Python for debugging and scripting.
• Experience with ROS2 and robotics frameworks.
• Hands-on hardware and electromechanical system troubleshooting.
• Ability to diagnose sensors, connectivity and control systems from logs.
• Excellent English communication; travel up to 50%.
• Engineering degree in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, CS, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Tier 2 technical escalation for field operations with Amazon last-mile teams.
• Perform RCA on field failures to identify hardware, software, or environmental causes.
• Debug and apply quick fixes to keep robot-to-engineer ratio at 1:5.
• Collaborate with QA to feed real-world inputs for test cases.
• Lead readiness and optimization of deployed robots across sites.
• Create and maintain technical docs, guides, and SOPs for Field Technicians.
• Bridge Product and Engineering by translating field issues into requirements.
