Job summary

Enact in Zürich is seeking a hands-on Engineer to drive next-gen robotic actuators from prototyping to manufacturing, turning real-world insights into the next evolution of actuation. You will design test setups, build rigs, and contribute to fast iteration on hardware.

You will own motor quality and reliability, perform FMEA and life/thermal testing, investigate failures, and define acceptance criteria and KPIs to gate every unit shipped.

Qualifications

• Degree (BSc/MSc) in mechanical, mechatronic, or electrical engineering/equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience in testing, characterization, or quality and reliability engineering.
• Hands-on design and build of test rigs: torque sensors and load cells, dynamometers, encoders, thermocouples etc.
• Fluency with measurement uncertainty and setup calibration
• A rigorous, data-driven approach to root-cause analysis and improving both product and process.
• Strong CAD skills for fixtures and test hardware.
• Language: We are an international team, fluency in English is a must have.

Responsibilities

• Drive our next-gen robotic actuators from prototyping to manufacturing and characterization.
• Design and build actuator test setups and rigs; characterize motor performance.
• Own motor quality and reliability: FMEA, and life and thermal-cycle testing.
• Investigate failures and performance drift; drive corrective actions in design and production.
• Run systematic data collection and technical reporting; define acceptance criteria and KPIs.
